LOWER YOSEMITE FALLS, Yosemite Ceremony Location

A torrent of water crashes from Lower Yosemite Falls.

ICONIC WATERFALL, LUSH WOODED PATHS, AND BIG CROWDS

When you picture Yosemite National Park, you'll most likely imagine Yosemite Falls right after Half Dome. This American iconic is a real beauty so it is no surprise so many want it as the backdrop for their Yosemite wedding. And while you can't have your wedding ceremony beneath the falls on the viewing platform, you can have it at a designated area between a fork in the trail, with the upper section of the falls in full view. But all that iconic beauty means the falls draws some of the biggest crowds in the park. So if you choose to have your ceremony there, I highly recommend taking some steps to avoid the crowds. Have your ceremony in the morning, and avoid the weekends. The surrounding trails are far less trafficked and offer some gorgeous backdrops for portraits or intimate elopement ceremonies.
