With fog rolling across the wooded coastline, I met up with Sam and Ethan early in the morning. The stretch of rugged coastline along the western side of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula never ceases to amaze me and it is just a magical backdrop for adventurous elopement photos like this.

One can always plan and hope for an incredible sunrise but the weather and location doesn’t always cooperate. Too much cloud cover, no clouds whatsoever, the suns behind a mountain, there are just so many variables that can make the sunrise less than what you were dreaming of. But for Ian and Linda the stars aligned and their ceremony turned out extraordinary.

It’s not hard to see why Matt and Rachael chose Bryce Canyon National Park for their elopement adventure. The multicolored strata of the cliffs and towering Hoodoo’s make Bryce Canyon’s landscape truly unique.

These two lovebirds decided to have their first look amidst the golden light of sunrise at the world famous Tunnel View viewpoint in Yosemite. While normally a crowded spot, not many get out of bed this early so we had the place virtually to ourselves.

Ally and Christian were an absolute joy to work with! A quick glance at their photos and it’s easy to see just how much they love each other.

I met Abby and Cleave at sunrise for an intimate wedding ceremony with their family and friends. As the golden rays of the sun peaked down into the Yosemite Valley we set off to explore the winding trails through quiet meadows.

Towering rock formations, the majestic peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and a lunar eclipse. Despite all that the real star of the day was the couple themselves. Take a look at this love story you won’t soon forget.

It’s not often an elopement consists of overcoming broken bones and gusting winds. But despite it all we prevailed, creating a series of wedding photos in Glacier National Park that are as touching as they are spectacular. This one really shows off why East Glacier is one of my favorite spots in the park.
