3 Pro Tips for Planning Your May Zion Adventure

  1. Buffer for Travel: Drive times in Zion can be unpredictable. Always add 20% more time for mountain roads or parking.

  2. Lighting is Everything: In May, the sun dips behind the surrounding cliffs roughly 45 minutes before actual sunset and after sunrise.

  3. Leave No Trace: Stay on established trails and hard surfaces to protect the fragile desert plant life. Give plants a chance.
