Easily my favorite place to elope in Yosemite National Park. Olmsted Point is easily accessed via highway 120 but gives the feeling of being deep in the wilderness. No matter which way you look the views are breathtaking. From the many domes around Tenaya Lake, to the iconic Half Dome itself, stunning vistas abound. While many park visitors stop at the vista point, very few take the short trail that leads onto the sprawling granite slabs of the sierra. Fewer still cross the road and scale the sloping granits that lead to the peak above. To make things even better, Tenaya Lake is a short drive away and there's even a waterfall nearby, talk about a spectacular elopement destination. It's convenient, it's beautiful, let's go.
